Biographies of Clinical Imaging Management Group
Kannan Rajesparan is a consultant musculoskeletal radiologist working at University College London Hospitals and the Institute of Sport Exercise and Health. He lectures on MSc Sports Medicine programme at UCL, and organises and lectures on national meetings. He is the College Tutor for Radiology Training Scheme at UCLH and is actively involved in the delivery and provision of teaching and training on a daily basis. Dr Rajesparan has been an active member of the Clinical Imaging SIG since 2013, and has successfully been involved in organising several meetings including the MSK imaging series and Upper GI endoluminal study day.
Sri Redla undertook his initial Medical training in India and then his Radiology Specialist Training in Hammersmith Hospitals (now part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust). Sri obtained his FRCR in 1998 and finished his training in late 2000, when he took up his present role as a Consultant Radiologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow, Essex. He was the Clinical Tutor between 2004-07 and Clinical Lead for Radiology between 2007-11. Sri subsequently took over the role of Clinical Director for Cancer, Diagnostics & Pharmacy in January 2012 and then Associate Medical Director for the Clinical Support Services Health Group in December 2014. Sri has recently stepped down as Chair of the group to take on the role of Honorary Secretary on BIR's Council.
Jonathan Cole is a Principal Physicist at the Royal Free Hospital in North London. He provides medical physics support to a range of modalities with a particular focus on interventional radiology, cardiology and regional NHS Breast Screening Services. Prior to joining the Royal Free Jonathan trained at King’s College Hospital where he subsequently worked as a technical evaluator in KCARE and then a Clinical Scientist in the Radiation Protection Service. Jonathan is also a Trustee on the BIR's Council.
