The BJR Early Career Investigator Award aims to encourage early career workers in the general areas of diagnostic imaging, radiotherapy and related topics to carry out research and publish it.
The award is made to a BJR author, within 5 years of appointment to a senior post at the time of submission, for the best original research paper published in the BJR during the relevant calendar year. The winner receives the Editors' Prize and presentation will usually be at the annual BIR Annual Congress.
This award is made on the recommendation of the Publications Committee and recipients are nominated by the Publications Committee and Editorial Board of BJR.
The award is presented annually and is in the form of a certificate and a monetary award of £250.
