
BIR /Bayer Artificial Intelligence Fellowship
This is an exciting opportunity for an early career professional to spend one week with the sponsoring company, Bayer, gaining insight into the culture of a healthcare AI organisation, potentially exploring a new career pathway, and enhancing their CV.
About the Fellowship
This scheme is for an early-career professional (trainee radiologist, consultant radiologist, medical physicist, radiographer or other professional) within three years of qualifying, to spend one week with Bayer. Applicants must be a BIR member and based in the UK.
The experience - What’s involved?
The successful candidate will spend five consecutive working days with the sponsoring company, shadowing key clinicians and scientists. They will gain an understanding of the development process and implementation. The experience may include attendance at headquarter offices, external events/conferences, shadowing the sales and scientific team as well as attending online events and one-to-one meetings.
The successful candidate will then be invited to present their experience, findings and ideas at a relevant BIR event or via a webinar.
Bayer will fund accommodation and travel for the successful candidate.
Bayer will work with the successful candidate to establish the timing for the placement, however applicants should be available to spend one working week with Bayer between 16 June 2025 – 31 December 2025.
Bayer will administer the scheme, including issuing an agreement with the candidate for the placement.
