Radiotherapy Errors and Near Misses: How Errors Happen and Ways of Prevention

Friday 31 October 2008 - London


This meeting, jointly organised by the BIR and the RCR, will discuss the definition and classification of radiotherapy errors and the history of major mishaps in the UK and the rest of the world. The meeting will also look at the reporting of errors and dealing with their consequences, machine and equipment safety and will provide recommendations for ways of prevention and safer radiotherapy. The meeting will be of interest to Clinical Oncologists, Physicists, Technologists, Radiographers and Radiotherapy Manufacturers.
