Searching Heritage Online Catalogue
Heritage is a library and resources management system. It helps libraries and resource centres to provide their catalogue to larger audiences than just those who can visit the centre itself.

From any Library page of the BIR website (including this one), click the Heritage Catalogue link on the right hand tool bar |

| To enter the Heritage Catalogue, click on 'GO' |

| In the box labelled 'Search term' type in the word that you are looking for, and then click 'Search' |

Heritage Online will show you how many items it found for your search, it can only fit the first 10 on the screen
To see the rest, click the arrow at the bottom
'Location' tells you where to find the item 'Class' tells you where to find the book in the Library |

To see more details of an item, click on its title

Hints and Tips
Use the wild card '*' Use '*' to indicate any letters in your search word. This will widen your search. For example, search for nurs* and Heritage looks for nurse, nursing and nurses.
Use 'AND' Use 'and' to narrow your search. For example, search for nursing AND Scotland. | |
