About Eponymous Lectures

The BIR has four eponymous lectures in memory of individuals who have made a special contribution to radiology and to the Institute: The Silvanus Thompson Memorial Lecture, The Mackenzie Davidson Memorial Lecture and the Sir Godfrey Hounsfield Lecture, presented at the BIR's scientific meetings; and the Mayneord Memorial Lecture, presented at UKRC. In addition, the BIR jointly with the RCR supports the Frank Ellis Lecture given at UKRO.

Council will be pleased to receive applications for the Sir Godfrey Hounsfield Memorial Lecture for 2009.

Council will also be pleased to receive nominations for the Mackenzie Davidson Memorial Lecture for 2009 and the Agfa Mayneord Memorial Lecture for 2009.
