VacanciesConsultant Radiologist Hawke's Bay Hospital, Hastings, New Zealand Closing Date for Applications is 30th March 2012 A vacancy has arisen, due to retirement, for a suitably qualified Consultant Radiologist to join our Radiology team and to contribute to the development of the Radiology department. Hawke's Bay Hospital is situated in Hastings in the Hawke's Bay region of New Zealand. It is a 400 bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 150,000 people. The hospital is a modern facility with a full range of surgical, medical, oncology and radiological services. Radiology facilities include all diagnostic modalities, except PET, plus a fully equipped interventional suite. It is anticipated that the successful candidate will be able to enhance the Radiology unit according to his or her expertise and training. Seven Radiologists are currently part of a cohesive, friendly team in one of the more advanced departments in the country. The work of the department is varied and often challenging. The Radiologists are by necessity multi skilled, but the development of a special interest is supported. An interest or expertise in Musculoskeletal radiology would be useful. Nuclear medicine would be helpful but not essential.
